Good Subject Combinations

Chemistry is well intertwined with the other core sciences, such as Biology and Physics. The subject also has a strong practical and problem-solving element, thus Mathematics is often paired alongside it. A Level Chemistry is a well-respected and popular requirement for many STEM courses at top level universities. This includes degrees for Natural Sciences, Medicine and Physics. Therefore, you may want to combine Chemistry with other relevant subjects to you, such as Sciences or Mathematics.

Future Prospects

Chemistry is a popular subject amongst many prospective science students, and can aid towards enabling a vocation in Medicine, Dentistry and other STEM subjects. However, studying chemistry doesn't restrict you to a career in a laboratory, it can lead to many different careers across a wide range of sectors both directly and indirectly, including in forensics, research, and law to name a few.
