The 2021/22 academic year has been challenging but incredibly rewarding, both for the college and our students.
We moved to our premises to Frederick Road, Edgbaston in August 2020 with the aim to stay at this site for 2-3 years. However, the college benefited from repetitional growth, strong grades and continued to place a significant number of students onto highly competitive university courses. As a result, we surpassed the number of students we expected to take on roll.
In order to accommodate for increased student numbers, we are now looking to move very close-by to our new site at 37 George Road, Edgbaston in August 2021. Our new premises is a beautiful three-storey Grade II listed building that has undergone refurbishment to offer modern teaching facilities. The college is located centrally in Birmingham and will continue to have excellent bus and train transport links, both being located ~100m from our site. The college will benefit from:
- More teaching rooms
- A cutting-edge lab allowing us to offer improved science practicals
- A well-equipped library
- A student-communal area with games and refreshment facilities
- A Bike stand access for students cycling into college
- Improved kitchen facilities
- Improved accessibility for students with physical disabilities
The college and its staff are incredibly excited to welcome students to the new site this coming academic year. I whole-heartedly believe student support and strong pastoral care is vital in helping students achieve their academic and career potential. Our new site and its improved facilities continue to focus on this, ensuring an optimal environment for student well-being.
I look forward to meeting all current and prospective students in the near future.
