Edgbaston College celebrates exceptional exam results amid move to new premises
Staff and students at Edgbaston College are celebrating their best A Level exam results to date, with 86 per cent of students achieving an A or A* grade.
Results day saw particularly strong performance across Maths and Sciences with 95 per cent of Chemistry students, 90 per cent of Physics students, 88 per cent of Biology students and 95 per cent of Maths students achieving an A* or A grade, a number of whom have secured offers to study Medicine or Dentistry at university.
This comes as the College moves into its new premises at 37 George Road, Edgbaston, and prepares to welcome a growing number of students.
The move brings students enhanced facilities including additional teaching rooms and laboratory facilities, an expanded library and self-study areas, improved accessibility for students with physical disabilities, and new communal areas for students offering kitchen facilities as well as games.
Owais Ahmed, Principal of Edgbaston College, said: “We are all incredibly proud of our students, who despite a very challenging year during the pandemic have worked hard to achieve these exceptional grades.
“I would also like to recognise our fantastic staff for their dedication, excellent teaching and pastoral support which helps each of our students achieve their goals.
“We are thrilled to be growing as a college and moving into our brilliant new location at 37 George Road. It will be fantastic to welcome students through the doors in September.”
Places are available for prospective students to join Edgbaston College this Autumn, although applications are welcomed all-year round and the College prides itself on the flexibility it offers its students.
