The 2021/22 academic year has been challenging but incredibly rewarding, both for the college and our students.
We only moved to our premises to George Road, Edgbaston in August 2021. However, we have continued to achieve strong grades and provide exceptional career support, leading to excellent university placement for our students, securing places at highly competitive universities and courses. This has also meant our student numbers have continued to grow.
In order to accommodate for the resulting increase in student numbers, we are now moving expanding to a second site at 9 George Road, Edgbaston. Our new premise is a beautiful three-storey Grade II listed building that we intend to occupy in a staged process over the next academic year. It was share the same period-charm our current premise benefits from.
The new site is ~7,000sq ft and situated ~40m away across the road from our current premises. The college is located centrally in Birmingham and will continue to have excellent bus and train transport links, both being located near out premises. The college will benefit from:
- 5 additional teaching rooms and an additional science lab;
- canteen facilities;
- 2 additional large student communal areas
- an additional large study-area;
- improved accessibility for students with disabilities;
- the introduction of outdoor recreational space
- a well-equipped photography and arts room
The college and its staff are incredibly excited this growth. Our new facilities will allow us to offer an improved educational experience and greater focus on student well-being; ensuring the optimal environment for success.
I look forward to meeting all current and prospective students at our new site the near future.
