Edgbaston College has a team of experienced teachers who teach a range of GCSE and A-Level subjects. Our teachers are all committed to helping students reach their full potential, in both their academic and personal goals.
Co-Founder and Economics Tutor
Prior to founding Edgbaston College, Owais had experience working as an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS and J.P. Morgan. He has also had an international career, working across the US and Asia with a start-up.
Owais holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick and is currently studying towards a Secondary Maths PGCE at the University of Warwick.
He teaches Economics and Business Studies at Edgbaston College. He also runs our Finance and Consulting Pathway programmes.
Co-Founder and Chemistry Tutor
In addition to founding Edgbaston College, Umar has worked as an A-Level Chemistry and GCSE Science teacher and tutor for over 10 years. He is also a former A-Level chemistry examiner for AQA and OCR.
Umar holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham.
He teaches A-Level Chemistry and GCSE Science at Edgbaston College.
Maths and Physics Tutor
Jeff is a qualified Maths teacher with many years of experience teaching Maths and Physics at a variety of academic levels.
Jeff has a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. He also holds a Secondary Mathematics PGCE from Newman University.
He teaches GCSE and A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics at Edgbaston College. Jeffrey also helps students with the STEP and MAT admissions tests.
Elizabeth is a qualified teacher who has taught English Language and English Literature at secondary and tertiary level for over 30 years, predominately at a private school. She is also an an examiner for GCSE, A Level and IBAC English Literature.
Elizabeth holds a BA in English and Drama from Exeter University, an MA in Architectural History from Keele University and a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing from Aberystwyth University. She also has a PGCE in English and Drama from Bath University.
She teaches English Literature and Language at Edgbaston College.
Dan is a qualified teacher who has taught Biology at secondary and tertiary level for 12 years. He is also an examiner for A-Level Biology.
Dan holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in Biosciences from the University of Birmingham.
He teaches Biology at Edgbaston College.
Pathway Programme Advisors
Our Pathway Programmes are run by experienced working professionals. They provide tailored support and guidance to A-Level students so they can succeed in their applications for world-leading universities and careers.
Oxbridge and Medicine Programme
Eman is currently a 6th year Medical student at the University of Cambridge. Over the years, she has helped many students receive offers for Medicine and Oxbridge.
Eman holds a BA (Hons) in Physiology, Development and Neurosciences from the University of Cambridge.
She runs our Oxbridge and Medicine Pathway programmes.
Puja is currently a 5th year Dental student at the University of Cardiff. Over the years, she has helped many students receive offers for Dentistry. Her services involve application advice, personal statement help and interview preparation.
She runs our Dentistry Pathway programme.
Aarmaan is currently working as a trainee Corporate Lawyer at law firm DLA Piper. In recent years, Aarmaan has helped multiple students gain entry into Law as both a university course and profession.
Aarmaan holds a LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law. Additionally, he also holds an LLB (Hons) Law degree from the University of Law.
He runs our Law Pathway programme.
