Online does not mean on your own. Every lesson is taught live by a subject specialist in a small online class, then recorded so you can rewatch any time. How the online retake year works
One year, online, to master your subjects and lift your grades.
Choose your subjects – resit or retake one to three A-Levels, or take up a brand-new subject in the same year if your new course needs it.
Live, interactive lessons – regular lessons are livestreamed in small online classes and taught on iPads at both ends, so you and your teacher can see each other’s screens and work through problems together in real time.
Recorded to rewatch – every live lesson is saved, so you can revisit anything in your own revision, any time.
Re-learn the whole course online – the complete A-Level specification, re-taught live from the ground up in small online classes.
Online assessments, mocks & feedback – interactive assessments and full mock exams under timed conditions, sat online or in person if you’re close enough, with regular feedback to keep you working on your improvement areas.

Can I resit or retake my A-Levels online in one year?
Yes. We re-teach the complete A-Level specification in a single year, fully online, with live lessons, weekly assessment and full reapplication support.
What’s the difference between a resit and a retake?
People use the terms interchangeably. Either way, you re-sit the exams to improve your grades; with us you also re-learn the full course, so you go in stronger rather than just sitting the paper again.
Are lessons live or pre-recorded?
Every lesson is taught live by a subject specialist in a small online class, on iPads at both ends so you can see each other’s screens. You can ask questions in real time, and every lesson is recorded so you can rewatch it any time.
Can I also take a brand-new subject in the same year?
Yes. Many students combine a resit with a new A-Level they need for their course – for example, taking up Chemistry for Medicine while retaking another subject – all within the one-year online programme.
Can I sit my assessments and mocks in person?
Assessments and mock exams are sat online under timed conditions, or in person at our Birmingham campus if you live close enough. Either way you get the same detailed feedback.
When can I start, and where can I join from?
