You can retake your A-Levels at Edgbaston College, an independent sixth form on George Road in Edgbaston, central Birmingham (B15 1PL). We run a full-time one-year retake programme with small classes and university-focused support.
Yes, at any age. A-Levels are linear, so you resit the whole subject rather than individual modules, usually the following summer. At Edgbaston you retake one to three subjects full-time in a single year.
No. Unlike GCSE English and Maths, A-Levels are only examined in the summer (May to June). There is no November A-Level series, so a one-year retake course is the standard route.
A-Level exams are sat once a year, in May and June. A one-year retake course runs across the academic year so you are fully prepared for the following summer series; entries usually close around February.
It depends on how many subjects you take. College fees cover teaching, assessments and exam-entry arrangements. See our fees for current pricing.
Your earlier grade still stands. A lower resit result does not cancel a higher grade you have already achieved, and you can use whichever is better in your university applications. With weekly mocks, going backwards is rare.
There is no limit. Each time you sit the full set of papers for that subject and can use your best result.
Yes, you can. As well as retaking subjects you have already sat, you can start a brand-new A-Level alongside them in your retake year. One of our 2025 students added a new subject, went from B to A*A, and won a place to study Medicine.
Yes. The large majority of universities and courses accept resit grades on equal terms. A few highly competitive courses, particularly Medicine and Dentistry, apply specific resit policies, so check each one.
We don't rely on your previous school's predictions. We set yours from your performance here, weekly assessments under exam conditions and three full mock exams, so they're current and fully evidence-based. Because of the outcomes we consistently deliver, we're able to predict ambitiously. This is a fresh start.
Outstanding. In 2025, 65.1% of grades were A*–A and 87.7% A*–B, with 72.7% of students progressing to Russell Group universities and 18 winning Medicine and Dentistry places. Recent 2025 successes include a student who resat and won a place to read Law at Cambridge, and multiple students who secured Dentistry places at King's College London.
